In order to protect an organization’s IT operations from experiencing catastrophic data loss in the event of a data disaster, IT professionals must be proactive and take steps to prepare their IT environment and ensure business continuity. A disaster recovery (DR) plan is not only essential to maintaining business uptime, but to ensuring compliance with regulations such as the Dodd Frank Act (in the financial services space) which require organizations to have detailed DR plans for policy adherence.

The Resource for IT Staff at Small Schools Since 1992
Technology Partners presented an educational session at the edACCESS 2013 Conference. We shared with IT professionals how to help their school mitigate risk through a cost effective data protection solution. We walked them through the steps of developing a cost-effective risk mitigation and compliance plan. This process involves assessing the risks associated with a broad range of events. It is important for schools to understand their individual risks, what is important to their school operations and what options and costs are involved with protecting their electronic data and business systems. We discussed methods to help safeguard dynamic, mission critical information allowing schools to mitigate risk and facilitate business continuity in a cost effective manner. Our mission is to ensure that our clients’ data is always “protected, accessible, and secure.”
We look forward to seeing you next year at edACCESS 2014.
